Aimed squarely at young men, Maxim is a glossy magazine focused on beautiful women, slick gadgets, fast cars, sports, entertainment, and other male obsessions. In addition to scantily clad cover models and plenty of revealing photo layouts, issues include reviews of the latest movies, CDs, DVDs, and video games; articles on how to successfully seduce women; the latest styles and trends; and interviews with celebrities. Other regular features include jokes, trivia, a sex column, practical advice, a sports column, and more.Although she has appeared on several stamps of Monaco, this was the first time Grace Kelly was honored here in 1993, on a U.S. postage stamp. Known for her classic beauty, Kelly enchanted the American public when she gave up her glamorous movie star career to marry Prin! ce Rainier of Monaco. Based on a publicity portrait taken for her 1954 film "Country Girl," this stamp was engraved by the world-renowned Czslaw Slania, and was a joint issue by the U.S. and Monaco

The most suspenseful thriller of the year explores just how far we will go to protect ourselves and our country. When a nuclear expert-turned-extremist (Michael Sheen, Underworld) plants devices in three separate cities, the country's counter-terrorism force springs into action and captures him. But the location of his bombs remains a mystery. With time running out, FBI agent Helen Brody (Carrie-Anne Moss, Disturbia) agrees to work alongside a mysterious interrogator known only as "H" (Samuel L. Jackson, Lakeview Terrace), whose ruthless methods get results. But a power struggle develops between Brody, "H', and the terrorist, and what happens next is unbelievable and -ultimately-Unthinkable!Unthinkable will give people of all political persuasions plenty to argue about. A terrorist named Arthu! r Younger (Michael Sheen, Frost/Nixon) has planted nuclear bombs in three American cities, then allowed himself to be arrested. The government, desperate to find these bombs, turns Younger over to a man known only as H (Samuel L. Jackson), who will use any means to extract information from Younger, despite the protests of FBI agent Helen Brody (Carrie-Anne Moss, Memento), who argues that torture doesn't produce viable data. Though Unthinkable is driven by this debate, the plot moves forward propulsively, never getting bogged down in rhetoric, and it carefully grounds this fantasy scenario (Younger is to real terrorists as Hannibal Lecter is to real serial killers) in realistic textures and details. It helps that the cast is crammed with talented characters actors, including Martin Donovan (The Opposite of Sex), Stephen Root (NewsRadio), and a lot of faces you'll recognize, even if you don't know their names. More importantly, Unthinkabl! e gives weight to both perspectives and doesn't pull its p! unches a bout what torture entails. The final moment will provoke the most debate: does it bring the argument to a conclusion, or are the filmmakers just picking the most flamboyant ending? --Bret FetzerThis item comes with a certificate of authenticity from LCG Signatures.Signed 8x10 By Carrie-Ann Moss, Cassidy Rae, Kylie Travis and Teresa Hill (Heavy Wear) comes with powers collectibles coa and matching holograms

A MASTERPIECE THEATRE PRESENTATION and AWARD WINNING DRAMA

Notorious. Scandalous. Unforgettable!

She is a lover, a criminal and a master of disguise who lives life on her own lusty terms. Acclaimed actress Alex Kingston ("Dr. Elizabeth Corday" of television's ER) stars as Daniel Defoe's notorious heroine in this scandalous romp set in the 18th Century!

Ever since her birth in Newgate Prison, Moll has survived by her cunning, wit and considerable powers of seduction. She goes through five husbands and countless lovers to escape a life on the streets. In betw! een using and deceiving her besotted paramours, she is not above picking a pocket or two! All the while, though, her heart belongs to the charismatic Jemmy (Daniel Craig). Inevitably, even the most clever criminal's luck runs out and Moll is soon facing the hangman's noose. As her execution day approaches, she devises one last desperate ploy to save not only her own neck, but also the life of her one true love.

This energetic, sardonic, and richly funny adaptation of Daniel Defoe's classic novel is completely unlike what you might expect from genteel Masterpiece Theatre. The heroine, Moll Flanders (Alex Kingston), after being born in prison, wends her way through the top and bottom of 18th-century English society, has five husbands (including a roguish highwayman who becomes the love of her life), many lovers (male and female), travels to America and back again, and in general discovers all that is cruel and sweet in life. Kingston tears into her role with ! gleeful amorality and delicious charm, often turning to the ca! mera wit h a seductive smile to ask, "What would you do?" This British miniseries is brilliantly written, skillfully directed, and superbly acted all around (with particularly delightful performances by Diana Rigg and Daniel Craig)--in short, among the best of its kind; both a cunning examination of social morés and a hugely entertaining story. Not to be missed. --Bret Fetzer

As Seen on Masterpiece Theatre

It is the first century A.D. and the Romans have invaded ancient Britain, but the Iceni, a Celtic tribe, are unwilling to live as a subject race in their own land. For a while, they are allowed to continue their lives as usual, without Rome's interference, but when Emperor Claudius dies, the Romans and the new Emperor Nero no longer tolerate the Iceni way of life and endeavor to crush the upstart Queen Boudicca (Alex Kingston - ER, Moll Flanders) and her tribe. However, they have underestimated the Celtic spirit and, seeking revenge, Boudicca l! eads her people against the mighty Romans with devastating effect.

"Brilliant Fun!" --What's On TV (U.K.)

Ex-cons Ellie, Hannah, Shoo, and Josie have done their time. Now they just want to disappear to Barbados with £3 million stolen from Ellie’s gangster husband, Roy. When a twist of fate leaves them without passports, they flee to a remote village in the Scottish Highlands and a shabby hotel that seems like the perfect hideaway. All they have to do is lie low and plan their escape. But the town of Hope Springs harbors bigger secrets and worse crimes, including unsolved murders. Soon the! ir lives are complicated by small-town nosiness, a shady solic! itor, a handsome policeman, and a hit man sent by Roy in search of his money--and the girls.

Alex Kingston (ER, Moll Flanders) leads a colorful cast that includes Annette Crosbie (Little Dorrit), Sian Reeves (Emmerdale Farm), Paul Higgins (In the Loop), Christine Bottomley (The Street), Vinette Robinson (Waterloo Road), Ronni Ancona (Gideon’s Daughter), and Alec Newman (Frank Herbert’s Dune). Set against the backdrop of gorgeous Scottish scenery, Hope Springs is escapist, entertaining fun.Hope Springs is a bit like Sex and the City--if Carrie & Co. had served time for fraud, assault, and arson! Ellie (Alex Kingston, ER), Shoo (Christine Bottomley, The Street), Hannah (Sian Reeves, Emmerdale Farm), and Josie (Vinette Robinson, Waterloo Road) are fresh out of prison, but they pull off a perfect scam on Ellie's weaselly husband--netting them a big chunk of money and put! ting him in jail. Then their plan to skip off to Barbados falls apart and they're forced to take a detour to Scotland, where they try to keep a low profile operating a run-down hotel. Unfortunately for them, they've landed in a murder mystery--and the hotel is at the heart of it. Even worse, the imprisoned husband's right-hand man is hunting them down, and he doesn't care who gets hurt (or killed) along the way.

Hope Springs balances drama and whimsical comedy with easy skill. Kingston drives the show with her mix of iron will, confident sexiness, and flashes of vulnerability, but the entire cast is solid, including Annette Crosbie (One Foot in the Grave) as the previous owner of the hotel who's not as dotty as she seems. Particularly good is Bottomley; her character Shoo is a mess--needy, reckless, prone to petty tantrums--but in Bottomley's hands she's deeply sympathetic, and exemplifies the damaged lives these women have lived. The show's overarching ! theme is how these former criminals, who've learned to look ou! t for th emselves at all costs, discover the value of community. Thanks to the fine cast and strong writing, this opening up is both comic and touching. Hope Springs is an excellent show that deserves to find a wider audience. --Bret FetzerThis energetic, sardonic, and richly funny adaptation of Daniel Defoe's classic novel is completely unlike what you might expect from genteel Masterpiece Theatre. A super adventure of heroic proportions, this crowd-pleasing hit from Walt Disney Pictures stars Hollywood favorites Kurt Russell and Kelly Preston! The son of legendary heroes Commander (Russell) and Jetstream (Preston), young Will Stronghold carries huge expectations as he enters a high-tech high school known for molding the heroes of tomorrow. With no apparent superpowers of his own, however, Will seems destined to grow up a mere sidekick. But as he discovers his true strengths, he'll also learn ! that it takes loyalty and teamwork to truly become a hero! The idea of a high school for superheroes will appeal to teens and preteens, who struggle powerlessly with petty authoritarians, bullying peers, and their own rampant hormones, and Sky High spotlights young Will Stronghold (Michael Angarano, Lords of Dogtown), the son of top-of-the-heap superheroic couple the Commander (Kurt Russell, Tango & Cash) and Josie Jetstream (Kelly Preston, View from the Top). Unfortunately, though he's about to be dropped into the midst of kids who can stretch, turn to living stone, or shoot fire, Will has yet to develop any powers at all--and may never develop them. His development anxieties (and some entertaining metaphors for high school social hierarchies) contrast with a bubbling plot by an old foe of the Commander's to destroy Sky High and all of superhero-dom. Sky High has a great supporting cast (including Bruce Campbell, Army of Darkness; D! ave Foley, NewsRadio; Lynda Carter, Wonder Woman! ; and Cl oris Leachman, Young Frankenstein) and a handful of funny, offhand bits, but the bulk of the movie is bland and obvious. Younger kids may not mind the clumsy action scenes, generic dialogue, and tacky production design, but even comic-book-loving teenagers will label Sky High bargain-basement. --Bret Fetzer
